Anamnesis / AKA Mantra
(ah-NAHM-nee-sis, from the Greek ἀνάμνησις — sacred remembrance, divine truth, soul wisdom returning)

To stand at the threshold of Winter is meet your soul untainted by the noise of the world.

“I stand at this threshold,
welcomed by the quiet wisdom of Winter.
Here, I am held by earth and cosmos in reverence.
Here, I meet the depth of clarity that only stillness reveals.
Here, I meet myself, all of me,
in devotion and surrender to all that has been
and all that is yet to come.”

Best used

for clarity, seasonal rites, new moon and solstice ceremonies, or anytime you feel yourself standing at a threshold. Think of it as a ritual escort from one chapter into the next. Burn before solstice rituals, journaling, dreamwork, meditation, or any moment when you feel yourself standing at an inner doorway.

Scent profile

A deep, wintering smoke that begins with the evergreen clarity of cedar, juniper, and bay that melts into the mystic sweetness of white copal and mastic and then unfurls into the underworld warmth of frankincense and sandalwood, and finishes with the subtle, ancient herbal presence of yarrow, angelica, and blue vervain. A quiet, grounding, threshold opening aroma that feels like stepping into a winter forest with the Crone beside you, still, clear, present, and ready for what comes next.

Botanical ingredients

A ritual blend of cedar leaf, juniper berry, bay laurel, olive leaf, white copal, mastic, frankincense, yarrow, angelica, blue vervain, calamus root, devil’s claw, sandalwood, and spruce. Together, these botanicals create a smoke that carries the unmistakable energy of Winter’s sacred threshold, when the world becomes quiet enough to hear your soul speak.

Once your incense charcoal is fully lit, glowing, and covered in a thin layer of gray ash, place approximately ⅛ teaspoon of your Sacred Smoke blend directly on top.

Allow the resins and botanicals to warm, release their aroma, and fill your space with their earth medicine and magic.

You may add another ⅛ teaspoon every 10–15 minutes, depending on how much smoke you enjoy.

Use with presence, intention, and respect.
Sacred Smoke is a living prayer carried on the air.

Never leave burning charcoal unattended.
Always place charcoal in a heat-safe, fireproof vessel filled with sand, salt, or ash.
While Sacred Smoke is all natural, it is not edible. For external use only.
Consider using ventilation where needed when you burn incense indoors.
Always use tongs to handle hot charcoals and heated incense.
